Apple Knoll
Farm had a very successful and fun 2 weeks at the Atlanta Spring Classic!
Week 1: Gretchen and Robin Hood swept the Classic
Hunter Division and took home the Champion ribbon.
Hayley Anderson also piloted Robin Hood to some great ribbons in the
Pre-Child Hunter division and placed
7th in the Pre-Child Hunter Classic. Gretchen also got great ribbons in
the Hopeful Hunter division with
Proper Lagado.
Ferdinand and Hayley took home the Champion ribbon in the Medium Pony Hunter
division,
along with the Best Child Rider on a Pony award. The pair also won both
the NCE Medium Pony Equitation and
the NHJL Small/Medium Pony Hunter Classic and placed 2nd in the USEF Pony Medal.
Gwen Goodwin and
Victor showed in the Open Jumper 1.20m classes and the Low Junior/Amateur
Jumpers
and got some great ribbons.
Kendall Milkey had a successful first week, winning the NCE 3'6 Small Junior
Equitation class and placing 6th
in the Maclay.
Week 2:
Gretchen and Robin Hood showed in the 3'3" Pre-Green Hunter division and
the Low Hunters and
got great ribbons in both. Gretchen also piloted Washington to a
4th place ribbon in the Hopeful Jumpers.
Week 2 was reminiscent of Week 1 for Hayley as she took home the Reserve
Champion ribbon in the Medium Pony
Hunter division. She also earned the Best Child Rider on a Pony award for
the second time and was 2nd in
the USEF Pony Medal. Hayley galloped to the winner's circle twice with
Super Sonic in the Pony Jumpers.
Gwen and Victor earned some great ribbons in the Open Jumper 1.20m
classes and Low/Junior Amateur
Jumpers. They were also very fast and clean in the NHJL Low Jr/AO Jumper
Classic, taking home the
2nd place award. Kendall Milkey showed Icarus for Week 2 and won
some great ribbons in the
3'3 Child/Adult Hunters, placed 3rd in the USEF Medal, 4th in the Maclay, and
got top ribbons in both
phases of the WIHS Equitaton class.
